I got the no drop rule and the 1 anime only rule
So my experience with this particular anime(Beatless) was soo torturous that it took me two week to finish it .

So yeah as someone who don't have this kind of rule how much would you endure?

If I don't find it interesting after a few episodes I feel like dropping it but most of the time I get attached to the character(s) and it gets way harder to drop. Sometimes I watched the whole series only cuz of a character I like even though the story was not that good. A few cases where I endured just to finish something I started I just don't like leaving things incomplete tbh.

None, I try to finish everything even if its painful to watch. The only case would be if there's no source to watch it on, so I'd watch as much as I could and just drop it. I guess the exception would be with 100+ eps anime - I'd stop if I felt like it was hopeless and there was no way for any kind of improvement.

If it's seasonal anime, then I'll drop after episode 3 if I don't enjoy it.

If it's a completed anime, then I'll drop whenever I feel like it, but I'm most likely to finish it.

When i feel one 23 minute episode felt like an hour or i start checking my phone while watching it, is when i usually say maybe this anime isnt it but i do try to strugle through 3 episodes at least..but sometimes an anime takes a little time to build up it's story so if it has a large reputation i just force the episodes in xD

I drop some anime after 10min, some take me to 5 episodes and some to 2 episodes.

it depends on the show itself and my mood too.

I want to relax, heal, fill up my batteries and consequently I don't want to torture myself with something that doesn't have any saving grace. My number one rule is "try to avoid buring out by watching things you enjoy". There is no something like a three episodes rule for me, I am capable of dropping an anime even after a few minutes.

I just try to watch a show completely so then I don't have to finish it later because it's just easier to watch a show completely than drop and then watch it later.

I'm the kind of person that hates dropping shows, so I wouldn't do it except the show has 24+ eps. If the show has many seasons then I just watch one and take the rest out of my ptw.

I will follow 5 episodes if the show is medium or long,

But if its short and i've already watched 5 episodes but the series is just so bad then instead of dropping i'll finish it with 2x,3x or 4x speed, this method is so much effective when watching very bad anime from seasonal chart.
(btw I mostly doesn't drop any anime)

I usually prefer not to drop stuff, but I will if I feel like I won't get any enjoyment out of it, or if the potential enjoyment I'll get isn't worth the investment of time I'm putting into it.

I drop when I feel like it, can be 5 mins in or 20 eps in, if I've had enough I've had enough. I don't understand people who torture themselves by not dropping anything even if they hate watching it but hey, you do you, sadomasochism is certainly a thing.

I usually watch 4 episodes because that's how lightovel adaptations are built, and that's most anime these days.
the 4th ep is the climax and end of the first arc, it gives you a good idea how the show will go from then on.

the fastest I dropped something was hand shakers. the director was retarded. it was less than 2 minutes.
so there was a huge fight going on with spinning camera, tons of weird effects, with the credits rolling on top, and the guy having some stupid monologue.
it was sensory overload. the scene ended and it cut to some everyday life situation in japan where people in suits were walking around with NOTHING going on.
they could've easily put the monologue under that scene, and have the worthless credits roll while nothing happened. but no.

Its really not something specific. It entirely depends of how annoying the characters are/how bad the series is as a whole. For example, I dropped Demon Slayer for a couple of months because Zenitsu is a piece of shit and characters that cry and scream endlessly aren't fun or interesting.
I dropped One Piece because the art and story seem wonky to me. I don't mind goofy stuff but I do mind having entire arcs being completely pointless with the exact same formula. And the art is just hands down bad.
I dropped Fairy Gone for example, because the main character is completely dumb, says he wants to make sure character X won't get a briefcase, then kicks it towards them and tries running after them because they run away with it. It doesn't even feel like its something the character would've done, but a very VERY dumb idea the writer came up with specifically because they don't know how to make a conflict in the current settings.
I also dropped Steins;Gate for months before finishing it because the first half of the original series is just hands down bad. I didn't come to see a time-travel related series that only talks about waifus, a cringey harem, parties and snacks. I finished the series eventually because people keep talking about how great it is, and to be honest, its clearly not as good as people make it seem, although its as a whole its not as bad as the first cour of the original first season.

So, like I've said, the reasons vary, and it entirely depends on multipile elements that change, based on what series we are talking about.

I have pretty low tolerance for enduring trash entertainment media. So, probably around 5 episodes maximum. I could force myself to watch it til the end, but why would I even bother? Anime consumption is supposed to be enjoyable, after all.

Two weeks to finish a show, that's not so bad. I had trouble finishing Code Geass S2 recently, I started it in June & only finished it a couple of weeks ago.

I tend to know fairly quickly if I'm going to drop a show, eg dropped Tokyo Ghoul & Black Butler after a couple of episodes. I made it thorough 14 eps of Ouran High School Host Club before dropping it.

I don't endure very long at all, if I don't enjoy a show then I stop watching. If I know I'll like a show I may put with a bad episode or two whilst waiting for it to improve (eg the first couple of eps of Girls Bravo S2 were pretty poor when I was watching it yday, but I pushed through and the rest was fun), but no more than that.

Seasonal anime are always 4 or 5 episodes by that time the plot has developed enough for me to decide if I’ll keep going. The only exception to the is Kanojo, Okarishimasu because I read the manga.

I try to avoid dropping shows... but if I’m not enjoying myself, then I’m not going to waste my time watching something I don’t like.

I learned that the hard way when I first started watching anime. It took me up until the introduction of Sting in Fairy Tail to finally decide to drop the show. He’s super hot, but it didn’t feel worth it, lmao.

I hate dropping shows in general, just makes me feel really uncomfortable. BUT, I do drop shows at rare times if the show is so bad and dull that I won't be able to watch it with my friends, or it's too long and underwhelming that spending days on it would never be worth it, even if I'm up to date and can talk about it with others since I love talking about all kinds of anime (even bad seasonals too) with my friends.
